PBS TeacherLine, an online institution offering professional development services to educators introduced a new course that aims to train educators to work in virtual learning environments.
The new course is called Online Facilitator Training I: Mastering the Skills of Online Teaching and is scheduled to be offered from March 28 to May 8. Online learning necessitates different skills and pedagogical approach in order to build am effective and collaborative online learning community.
The new online training program utilizes a multimedia-based environment to allow educators to experience the same e-learning model that they will give to their online students. This is a 45 hour course which is co-developed by the PBS with the International Society for Technology Education.
