Art Institute Online Opened A Virtual Campus At Second Life
I read that the Art Institute Online opened a virtual campus in Second Life. And this sounds really interesting because being in Second Life is such a great new way to explore and interact with people around the world in real time. And studying in a virtual 3D environment while being represented by avatar seems to be even more exciting.
The Art Institute Online is currently offering a Business Communications course. And since Second Life is a virtual community, the faculty and students here will be using asynchronous learning. The course will also make use of constructivism and simulation-based learning. Through providing real-world objects, structures and scenarios, student will be able to apply business processes and techniques associated with the real world to this virtual environment.
